I'm jumping on board...30 straight days of randomocity - you'll love it. Seriously.

So I have randomly seen these "30 Day Blog Challenges" around and thought to myself "hmm...I could do that" but then of course I never have. Now I think I want to. However, I can't find one that I like...so I'm going to combine two of them and see what I get. I hope nothing too boring.

My ultimate goal: To allow my readers to get to know me on a more personal basis.

I could write about my daily life - however, that is boring. So I'm going to write about life in a more interesting fashion by answering questions. If you have interesting/crazy questions you want to know about me that aren't on the 30 day list - but you think of them...please let me know and I will answer them in a blog to you as well. FULL DISCLOSURE OF THE TRUTH. I don't want to hide anything from you...that would be crazy ;)

So here we go:

Day 1: Introduction, recent picture of yourself, 15 interesting facts
Day 2: Your first love
Day 3: Your parents
Day 4: A song to match your mood
Day 5: A picture of something that makes you happy
Day 6: A place you've traveled to
Day 7: Bible verse
Day 8: Something you miss
Day 9: Put your Zune on shuffle, first 10 songs that pop up
Day 10: Bullet your whole day
Day 11: Somewhere you'd like to move or visit
Day 12: Your highs and lows of this past year
Day 13: Give pictures of five guys who are famous who you find attractive
Day 14: Someone who fascinates you and why

Here we go...maybe this will help me form a "blogging habit" to go along with my "blog reading addiction"!

Pet Peeve Tuesday

Today's pet peeve may relate to some of you more than others. (I believe more women will "feel me" than men anyway.)

I absolutely HATE cold toilet seats.  It's been one of my pet peeves for a while now. When will they come out with toilet seats that never get cold.  I have literally held it in because I knew the toilet seat was cold.

So that's that.

What is your pet peeve this week?

Sorry...sheesh

I just want to apologize. I have been spending every single hour that I can on studying for the CPA exam that I took this afternoon. I'm not sure it helped...I don't feel like I passed but we shall see. Anyway, now that we have that one out of the way - I have to start studying for another one I take at the end of February. Lovely. *sigh*

Anyway, I just saw that my friend from college is in roller derby. I am kind of jealous. I want to get into shape and aspire to be in roller derby. It looks awfully bad ass...and I want to be bad ass.

That's all for now.

Confession Wednesday

When I used to blog a lot on xanga, my favorite day of the week was Wednesday because it had become "Confession Wednesday".  Back in college, I had a lot of great confessions. Now that I am "old" they aren't as great. However, I still find it lovely to confess things to complete internet-world strangers so I believe I will :)

Confession for today: Sometimes I internet stalk people from my past to see if they will show up.  I have a few friends from when I was little. I remember it was around 4th grade - they lived across the street from me. I can't seem to find them online for the life of me. Who doesn't have a facebook people?!?

Pet Peeve Tuesday

I don't know if I will do "Pet Peeve Tuesday" every Tuesday...but I wanted to at least have one for the year so here it goes.

Today my pet peeve is people who speed up toward a red light.

I HATE when I am driving along and begin to slow down for a light and all of the sudden the person behind me whips around and passes me like a bat out of hell and then has to slam on their breaks when they reach the light. What has this accomplished? I'll tell you what - it has accomplished me thinking you are an idiot.

That's all folks :-)

The Sound of Sunshine

So many of you saw my "list" of things I want for the new year.  One was a theme song to dance to at least weekly.  I have decided that I want to change it monthly.  This is mostly due to my music A.D.D. It seems like I can never stay in love with one song for longer than a month. I will still always like the song - but it isn't my "favorite" - you know what I mean...everyone over-listens to a song and it then becomes time to just move on.

For January 2011:  The Sound of Sunshine by Michael Franti.  I can't sit still when listening to this song. If I am in the office I do a slight head-bob so anyone who happens to walk by my office doesn't peg me as a freak.  If I am in my car I let it most of the way out - I don't know the folks driving by me so who cares if they think I'm a crazy person right?  If I'm at home - it's ON! I dance around crazy in all of the rooms and Jasper gets into it as well and starts going crazy.

How did I choose this song you might ask yourself. Well, it's been on my radar for a while now.  It came almost tied with another Michael Franti song - "Say Hey (I love you)". I dance around crazy to that song as well.  I first heard it on Weeds which I had been catching up on last year. Even when it came on the tv it made me dance around.  Then when I started listening to Michael Franti - it was obvious there were a few dancing songs in my future!

If you were to choose a dancing song for the month of January - what would YOUR song be?

Hard to Believe...

As I get older - one thing always remains consistent...the year flies by MUCH faster. I seriously feel like it was just the other day that I was buying my house when in reality it was January. "Busy Season" was just the other day as well and here I am looking at it in the face again.  I do however hope that April 15th gets here extremely fast this year - -  after that the year has my permission to slow down to a normal speed such as the speed it was when I was a kid. It always felt like SOOO long before my next birthday would happen....SOOO long before Christmas would get here again.

I wonder what makes time go by so slow when we are little. I kept myself busy exploring the world outside of the house throughout the year; playing with friends and building forts in the back pasture. I rode my bike constantly down the street and back.  I kept my mind occupied on thoughts about all of the new experiences and explorations I was going on.  True - maybe they aren't thoughts of money issues and relationship issues like we have as adults - but still many thoughts.  Oh to be a child once again.

Here's to 2011. It is hard to believe that 2010 passed by so fast...but at the end of every year we get a chance to look forward and have hope for a better year to come.

This year:

  • I want to pay off my car loan and own my car completely.
  • I want to find something to love about everyone I come in contact with.
  • I want to pass the CPA exam.
  • I want to have more intimate dinners with my boyfriend.
  • I want to take my dog out for more walks - he deserves them.
  • I want to explain my passions in a more coherent way to myself and others.
  • I want to determine my personal theme song and dance around crazy to it at least once a week.
  • I want to change someone's life for the better.
What do you want to do in 2011? Remember that faith can make the seemingly impossible - possible!
